I haven't an idea what our host thought it was.

But I strongly suspected none of us were human. But I was being frivolous and made the claim that we were all human. Mr. Warden was a good sport about it, but he also said he didn't want to submit anything that could be a lie since it may have resulted in other consequences.

So we opted for something else like "we all are mistaken for something we are not".

When you make it that broad, it feels like it could apply to almost anything.

Which is likely the reason that person agreed to it.

I was actually more surprised he agreed to "we have all taken a life".

Miss Eowyn was with one of the winning groups, so she received the extra coin and flashlight. I believe people will be testing those out in short order.

A Miss Pewter was introducing the event when a Miss Halogen drop kicked her out of the way and led it instead.

Oh dear. In-fighting? That could potentially work to our advantage.

Hm. Potentially.

They're still not the real problem, however. Merely the intermediaries. Much like the girl Constance who keeps getting dropped through portals, though I think she's much newer to the whole thing.

Intermediaries, yes, but intermediaries who theoretically have direct access to the problem. The same could be said of Constance with the Paragons.

It's a bit strange... those two had names.

But Constance claimed to not remember a name. I was the one who offered her one.

Mm, that part makes sense enough to me. The way she tells it, Constance was on the player side, like us—whereas the other two were essentially GMs, right? What's stranger is why a player would be kept around past their cycle at all.

Serve the Evocated and regain what you have lost or maybe even come into your own power.

If you've lost so much that you can't even remember that you, too, were the player once, then there is only forward on that track.

I believe it's a possibility.

Admittedly, I have my biases when it comes to entities this powerful and the people they take on.

... It seems a bit cruel to pull the same move on you twice.

It is just as cruel to those experiencing it the first time.

One of two things. You can have your pick of either, but I won't ask for you to do both.

The first is a set of simple reminders. If I ever seem out of sorts, then these would be good to have me remember, if I should forget them myself. Though I won't expect you to always remember, either, considering our circumstances.

The second... I'm in need of a name. Not for this face. This face can have many names and would suit it just fine. That was already a part of its Act. But while I have names like Miskatonic Smith and Arkham Raven, they are just pieces. And those names are only just pieces. And I... am something that needs to have a name to at least call the whole of me by.

Honestly, I would not ask you for the second option normally, but you're at least familiar with my story and of the home I lost.

But if you feel that's too much weight, then the first option truly is easy and just as important enough, I promise.
